The abbreviation KVBbShv, AKVBbShv stands for:

• A - aluminum conductor;
• K - control cable;
• V - polyvinyl chloride insulation;
• B - armored;
• b - without padding under the armor;
• Shv - external PVC sheath in the form of a hose.

CONSTRUCTION

1. Current-carrying conductor – single-wire, copper or aluminum, 1st class according to DSTU EN 60228.
2. Insulation – made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound.
3. Twisting – insulated conductors twisted together. The cables have a pair in each layer, the conductors of which are distinguished by different insulation colors from each other and from other conductors in the layer.
4. Separation layer – applied over the twisted conductors from PVC compound with reduced flammability, with a thickness of at least 0.5 mm.
5. Protective covering type BbShv:
• armor made of two galvanized steel strips, applied spirally with an overlap so that the upper strip covers the gaps between the turns of the lower strip;
• protective hose – made of PVC compound with reduced flammability.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Operating temperature of the surrounding environment from -50°C to +50°C.
Relative humidity at +35°C – 98%.
Electrical resistance of insulation at +20°C, conductor cross-section:

• from 0.75 to 1.5 mm² – not less than 10 MΩ;
• from 2.5 to 4 mm² – not less than 9 MΩ;
• from 6 to 10 mm² – not less than 6 MΩ.

The allowable long-term temperature of the conductors during operation is +70°C.
The cables are resistant to installation bends.
The bending radius of armored cables during installation without pre-heating at ambient temperatures not lower than -7°C is at least 10 cable diameters.
The construction length of the cable is at least 150 meters.
The warranty period of operation is 3 years from the date of commissioning.
The service life of the cables is at least 15 years.
The service life when laid in rooms, channels, tunnels is at least 25 years.

APPLICATION

Control cables are intended for connection to stationary electrical devices, apparatuses, and electrical distribution unit assemblies under alternating voltage up to 660 V with a frequency up to 100 Hz or direct voltage up to 1000 V. They are designed for single and group laying in rooms, channels, tunnels, trays, ducts, pipes, flexible hoses without significant tensile loads, and also in the ground (trenches) with low corrosion activity, in places where stray currents may occur.
