Thermoelectrode (compensatory) wires.
The abbreviation SFKE is deciphered as follows:

• S — glass fibers are used as the sheath;
• F — the insulating part is made of fluoroplastic film;
• K — the sheath is made of glass fiber coated with silicone-organic varnish;
• E — shielding with copper wire.

CONSTRUCTION

1. Conductive cores made of 7 wires with nominal cross-sections of 0.50, 1.00, 1.50mm² from chromel-alumel (XA) and chromel-copel (XC) alloys.
2. Insulation:
   • insulation in the form of a two-layer winding made of fiberglass threads, impregnated with silicone-organic varnish;
   • insulation made of fluoroplastic film, with film overlap of at least 15%;
   • insulation in the form of a two-layer winding made of fiberglass threads, impregnated with silicone-organic varnish.
   To indicate the respective metal or alloy, the outer fiberglass winding should be colored:
• chromel – violet or black;
• alumel – uncolored;
• copel – yellow or orange.
3. Shielding braid made of tinned copper wire with a nominal diameter of no more than 0.15 mm.
   Surface density coefficient of wires – at least 80%.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Maximum operating temperature of the wires – up to 250°C.
Operating temperature range – from -60°C to 170°C.
Relative air humidity at +35°C – 98%.
Electrical insulation resistance of the wires, calculated for 1 km length at 20°C, is not less than 5 MOhm.
Test alternating voltage with a frequency of 50 Hz 1000 V, 1 minute.
Minimum bending radius during installation – 15 outer diameters of the wire.
Cable construction length is at least 20 meters.
Service life – 13 years from the moment the wires are put into operation.

APPLICATION

The wires are intended for fixed connection of thermocouples (sensitive elements in devices for measuring temperature in control and monitoring systems). The wires are resistant to turbine oil 46, spindle oil AU, and diesel fuel DS. Minimum service life of the wires: 14,000 hours at +175°C, 1,000 hours at +250°C.
