Thermoelectric (compensating) wires.
The abbreviation SFKE-XK is decoded as follows:

• S – sheath made of glass fibers;
• F – insulation part made of fluoroplastic film;
• K – sheath made of glass fibers impregnated with silicone varnish;
• E – shielding with copper wire;
• XK – alloy of Chromel-Copel.

CONSTRUCTION

1. Conductive cores made of 7 wires with a nominal cross-section of 0.50, 1.00, 1.50 mm² from the Chromel-Copel alloy (HC).
2. Insulation:
   • insulation in the form of a double-layer winding of glass fibers impregnated with silicone varnish;
   • insulation made of fluoroplastic film with an overlap of at least 15%;
   • insulation in the form of a double-layer winding of glass fibers impregnated with silicone varnish.
   To indicate the corresponding metal or alloy, the outer winding of glass fibers should be colored:
• Chromel – purple or black;
• Copel – yellow or orange.
3. Shielding braid made of tinned copper wire with a nominal diameter not exceeding 0.15 mm.
   Surface density coefficient of the wires – at least 80%.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Maximum operating temperature of the wires – up to 250°C.
Operating temperature – from -60°C to 170°C.
Relative air humidity at +35°C – 98%.
Electrical insulation resistance of the wires calculated for 1 km length at 20°C – at least 5 MOhm.
Test alternating voltage at 50 Hz 1000 V, 1 minute.
Minimum bending radius during installation – 15 external wire diameters.
Cable construction length not less than 20 meters.
Service life – 13 years from the moment the wires are put into operation.

APPLICATION

The wires are intended for fixed connection of thermocouples (temperature-sensitive elements in devices for measuring temperature in control and monitoring systems). The wires are resistant to the effects of turbine oil 46, spindle oil AU, and diesel fuel DS. Minimum operating time of the wires: 14,000 hours at +175°C, 1,000 hours at +250°C.
