Thermoelectric (compensating) wires.
The abbreviation SFKE-XA stands for:

• S — glass threads are used as the sheath;
• F — insulation part made of fluoroplastic film;
• K — sheath made of glass thread coated with silicone varnish;
• E — shielding with copper wire;
• XA — chromel-alumel alloys.

CONSTRUCTION

1. Conductive cores consisting of 7 wires with a nominal cross-section of 0.50, 1.00, 1.50 mm² made of chromel-alumel alloys (XA).
2. Insulation:
   • insulation in the form of a double-layer winding of glass threads impregnated with silicone varnish;
   • insulation made of fluoroplastic film with an overlap of at least 15%;
   • insulation in the form of a double-layer winding of glass threads impregnated with silicone varnish.
   For the corresponding metal or alloy, the outer winding of glass threads should be colored:
• chromel – purple or black;
• alumel – uncolored;
3. Shielding braid made of tinned copper wire with a nominal diameter of no more than 0.15 mm.
   Surface density coefficient of wires – at least 80%.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Maximum operating temperature of wires – up to 250°C.
Operating temperature range – from -60°C to 170°C.
Relative air humidity at +35°C – 98%.
Electrical insulation resistance of wires, calculated per 1 km length and at 20°C, at least 5 MΩ.
Test AC voltage of 1000 V, frequency 50 Hz, 1 minute.
Minimum bending radius during installation – 15 outer diameters of the wire.
Cable length in construction – at least 20 meters.
Service life – 13 years from the moment of commissioning.

APPLICATION

The wires are designed for fixed connection of thermocouples (a temperature-sensitive element in devices for measuring temperature in control and monitoring systems). The wires are resistant to turbine oil 46, spindle oil AU, and diesel fuel DS. Minimum operational hours: 14,000 hours at +175°C, 1,000 hours at +250°C.
