Control cables with copper conductors with polyvinyl chloride insulation and reduced fire hazard sheath, shielded.
Electromagnetic interference hinders equipment operation and degrades technical performance. The cause is natural electromagnetic background, emissions from other devices and installations. The abbreviation KVVGEng-LS stands for:

• K - control cable;
• V - polyvinyl chloride insulation;
• V - PVC sheath used;
• G - no protective cover;

CONSTRUCTION

1. Conductive core – single-wire, copper, 1st class according to DSTU EN 60228.
2. Insulation – made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, in cables with the index "ng-LS (ngd)" – made of PVC plastic with reduced fire hazard.
3. Twisting – insulated cores twisted together. The cables have a reference pair in each layer, with cores distinguished by the color of the insulation, different from each other and the other cores in the layer.
4. Separation layer – placed over the twisted conductive cores made of polyethylene terephthalate film or PVC plastic, with a thickness of at least 0.5 mm, in cables with the index "ng-LS (ngd)" – made of PVC plastic with reduced fire hazard.
5. Shield – made of copper foil with a thickness of 0.6 mm or aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.10 to 0.15 mm or aluminum flex tape with a thickness of 0.05 mm in the form of a wrapping with overlap. A copper wire with a diameter of 0.4 mm to 0.6 mm should be laid under the shield.
6. Sheath – made of PVC plastic, in cables with the index "ng-LS (ngd)" – made of PVC plastic with reduced fire hazard.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Operating temperature of the environment from -50°C to +50°C.
Relative air humidity at a temperature of +35°C – 98%.
Electrical insulation resistance at +20°C with conductor cross-section:

• from 0.75 to 1.5 mm² – not less than 10 MΩ;
• from 2.5 to 4 mm² – not less than 9 MΩ;
• from 6 to 10 mm² – not less than 6 MΩ.

The maximum allowable temperature for heating conductive cores during operation is +70°C.
The cables are resistant to installation bends.
The bending radius of unarmored cables with copper conductors during installation at ambient temperatures not lower than 0°C is:

• for cables with a diameter up to 10 mm inclusive – not less than 3 times the diameter;
• for cables with a diameter from 10 to 25 mm inclusive – not less than 4 times the diameter.

The bending radius of unarmored cables during installation and laying without preheating at an ambient temperature not lower than -15°C is not less than 6 times the cable diameter.
Minimum construction length of the cable – 150 meters.
Warranty period of operation – 3 years from commissioning.
Service life of cables – at least 15 years.
Service life when laid in rooms, ducts, tunnels – at least 25 years.

APPLICATION

Control cables are intended for connection to stationary electrical devices, apparatuses, assemblies of electrical distribution devices at alternating voltage up to 660 V at a frequency of up to 100 Hz or direct voltage up to 1000 V.
For single laying in rooms, ducts, tunnels, trays, boxes, pipes, flexible conduits, where there is no danger of mechanical damage, in facilities requiring protection of electrical circuits from external electromagnetic interference.
