Power cable with insulation and sheath made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound with reduced fire hazard for a rated voltage of 1000 V, frequency 50 Hz.
The abbreviation VVGng stands for:

• V – vinyl insulation of conductors;
• V – vinyl sheath;
• G – flexible;
• ng – non-flammable;

CONSTRUCTION

1. Conductors are round, single-wire or multi-wire, class 1–2 flexibility, made of copper according to DSTU EN 60228.
2. Insulation made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound. The color of insulation for single-core and double-core cables is not standardized. Continuous marking is allowed; coloring as a longitudinal stripe at least 2 mm wide is permitted. The insulation color must be indicated in the wire marking (when ordering) according to the letter designation shown in the table below:

3. Sheath – protective hose of cables with the "ng" index made of low-flammability PVC compound of the NGP grade, and for cables with the "ng-LS" or "ngd" index – made of low fire-hazard PVC compound of the PPO grade.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

Ambient operating temperature from -50°C to +50°C.
Continuous permissible heating temperature of conductors during operation: +70°C.
Electrical resistance of conductors to DC, recalculated per 1 km length at 20°C, complies with DSTU EN 60228.
Insulation resistance, recalculated per 1 km length at the continuous permissible conductor temperature of 70°C, must be at least 5 kΩ.
Test AC voltage at 50 Hz: 3000 V for cables rated at 0.66 kV and 3500 V for cables rated at 1.0 kV for 10 minutes.
Minimum bending radius during installation – 8 cable diameters.
Cable manufacturing length – at least 200 meters.
Warranty period – 5 years from commissioning date.
