The abbreviation KVBbShvng stands for:

• K - control cable;
• V - PVC insulation;
• B - armored;
• b - without padding under the armor;
• Shv - external sheath made of PVC in the form of a hose;

CONSTRUCTION

1. Current-carrying conductor — single-wire, copper or aluminum, class 1 according to DSTU EN 60228.
2. Insulation — made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound.
3. Twisting — insulated conductors twisted together. Each layer of the cable has a counting pair, whose insulation color differs from the rest.
4. Separation layer — applied over twisted current-carrying conductors, made of PVC compound, with thickness of at least 0.5 mm.
5. Protective covering type BbShv:
   • armor made of two galvanized steel tapes, wound spirally with overlap;
   • protective hose made of PVC compound with reduced flammability.

Ambient operating temperature from -50°C to +50°C.
Relative humidity at +35°C – 98%.
Insulation resistance at +20°C for sections:

• from 0.75 to 1.5 mm² — at least 10 MOhm;
• from 2.5 to 4 mm² — at least 9 MOhm;
• from 6 to 10 mm² — at least 6 MOhm.

Long-term permissible operating temperature for conductors +70°C.
Cables are resistant to installation bends.
Bending radius for armored cables during installation without preheating at an ambient temperature of at least -7°C is at least 10 cable diameters.
Cable construction length — at least 150 meters.
Warranty period of operation — 3 years from the date of commissioning.
Service life — at least 15 years.
Service life when laid indoors, in channels, or tunnels — at least 25 years.

APPLICATION

Control cables are intended for connection to stationary electrical devices, equipment, and distribution boards at an alternating voltage of up to 660 V with a frequency of up to 100 Hz, or a direct voltage of up to 1000 V.
Suitable for single and grouped installation indoors, in channels, tunnels, trays, boxes, pipes, flexible sleeves, in the ground (trenches) with low corrosive activity, where stray currents may be present.
Cables of the KVBbShvng-LS (ngd) and AKVBbShvng-LS (ngd) types are intended for use in facilities requiring low smoke emission, low toxicity, and reduced corrosive gas emissions during combustion or smoldering.
